在沙漠地区玩家用铲和鹤嘴锄挖掉化石。但是收集化石并不容易，特别是如果一个人收集得。还有化石非常脆弱，因此收集的时候玩家要小心。

为了建立了小恐龙帝国，玩家应该用必不可少的设备，例如： 吉普车 ， 雷达， 平板电脑， 各种工具， 爆炸性材料等等。
